Red Mountain Cut
Written by Steve Brammell '72, the short stories of this collection were originally published in Birmingham Magazine. They include such variety as a composer trying to finish his song in a tornado, an executive driving his mother's ashes to the gulf, and a pair of kind beekeepers selling honey from their home. These diverse episodes share the common essence of everyday living in the modern South. Readers will recognize the struggles and settings of these fictional characters as true to life and may even feel like they lived the story with them.
